Additional Game Mode Suggestions [Concept]

Hey all,

 

So I noticed that there are quite a number of game modes, but some of them are outright avoided by many people. 

In light of the recent survey I was wondering if the community wanted to post ideas for game modes here and, devs permitting, have them considered

for addition into the game.

 

For ease of reading by devs and other users we should probably follow this format:

 

Name of the New Game Mode: 

Insert Info Here (EG Survival)

 

Premise of the New Game Mode: 

Whats it about? (EG Survive for as long as possible)

 

Objective(s) of the New Game Mode: 

What are the Objectives? (EG Collect Oxygen modules stay alive)

 

Any Additional Information about the New Game Mode: 

(EG Time constraints, waves, etc)

 

Rewards Proposed for the New Game Mode: 

(EG every 5 minutes give a reward of X type)

 

Misc. notes on the New Game Mode:

 

 

If you want to refer to someone else's game mode, make sure you mention its name, author and page its on (if you're not right after them).

I'll go first:

 

Name of the New Game Mode: Smash and Grab

 

Premise of the New Game Mode:

Raiding a weapons/monetary/supply cache

 

Objective(s) of the New Game Mode:

Destroy a security station to unlock desired cache (choose one of 3 directions of which have unknown contents)

 

Any Additional Information about the New Game Mode:

The player(s) should fight through a section of the level in order to reach the security station.

Once there, a majority of players must decide which path to take (EG 3 dual-lock locked doors, can only choose one) without knowing the loot they will receive from that location.

Once they player(s) has proceeded on their desired path they should be forced to do a small randomly selected objective such as:

 

Exterminate X number of security personnel to proceed

Disable the reactor before proceeding

Capture the security chief and obtain his security card to proceed

Survive the onslaught of security personnel for X number of minutes before proceeding

Prevent the hacked automated repair bot from being destroyed while it cuts through the door

 

After accomplishing this task the player(s) should have to enter the loot room (laid out in any fashion the devs want) and pick up an item which does not necessarily have to require a hand to hold (and hence force pistol-only).

The player(s) would then proceed to extraction while being peppered with medium-light resistance from the front, but overwhelming resistance from

behind, which in turn requires the players to keep moving.

 

Rewards Proposed for the New Game Mode:

The loot rooms can consist of lockers, boxes or other in-game loot sources and/or have X number of reward items (similar to rewards given at survival's 5:00 mark) which are given to the player(s) upon completion of the mission.

 

Misc. notes on the New Game Mode: 

This mission wouldn't be a farm-style mission (such as defense or survival) but, rather, offer reasonable rewards for a variety of work in a fast paced game mode which doesn't involve running 3 kilometres (or a couple of miles) to get to the end once all objectives are accomplished. 

Also, the frontal resistance after the loot room has been looted should be light enough such that it is balanced in a similar fashion to the other game modes (that is, any player can do it, irrespective of skill level, provided that they are leveled enough).
