Kintsurugi
In short, a mission to kill a giant Corpus robot I have affectionately dubbed the Mega Corpus Zord. In response to expressed want of a raid. Or what I feel should be a giant boss for the Corpus faction, similar to how the Infested have Lephantis. Nothing set in stone, I just want more giant boss fights. DE, please modify however needed to make this happen. Tenno, your inputs are appreciated. All aspects are open to suggestion and modification. The Fluff, The Lore, and The Mission Details: "Sensors have detected a monstrous energy source. It's the Corpus. They have somehow managed to acquire an Orokin power core and are in the process of building a massive mobile weapons platform of cataclysmic destructive potential. They're calling it Corpus Prime. Not only does this war machine pose a threat to the balance, but their lack of understanding of the reactor's full capabilities could wipe out all life within the sector. Your mission is to assault Corpus strongholds under cover of Grineer invasion forces, find intel revealing the location of the Corpus Prime, disable the superweapon, and bring back the core." -- Lotus Event Details (short version): 1. Side with the Grineer to attack Corpus systems. 2. Find a secret room and retrieve an intel fragment. 3. Obtain enough intel fragments to unlock an assassination mission. 4. Kill the giant robot. Event Details (long): 1. Side with the Grineer to attack Corpus systems. This means a system currently owned by the Corpus. You will side with the Grineer because you will be visiting a Corpus ground-based facility which is where the intel is being held and thus will not work when siding with the Grineer to defend a system, where you would be instead attacking a Corpus invasion ship. 2. Find a secret room and retrieve an intel fragment. This will be a room that has a chance to spawn (or guaranteed spawn), and it will spawn on the Corpus side tile set. This room will also be locked, requiring a key for entry similar to the Dragon Keys to the vaults of the Orokin derelict ships. Of course they will not actually be vaults, of Orokin make, or require Dragon Keys, but keys nonetheless. Each room will contain one of five (1/5) intel fragments. 3. Obtain all intel fragments to unlock assassination mission. Five (5) intel fragments unlocks the mission. All participants must have five (5) in order to access the mission. The Lotus will not risk sending anyone not fully informed of what they're going up against...or prevent taxi'ing. 4. Kill the giant robot. Originally I wanted this to be a "fight five giant robots individually, then have them merge into an even larger robot" but felt that this fight might take too long for a regular boss fight and thus unjustified, so for right now I'm suggesting it be just one massive boss with phases.Corpus Prime Fight: 1. Phase one. Several advanced Shield Ospreys, drawing power from Corpus Prime, will be flying around overhead, providing invincibility, and must be destroyed. They will have higher health and defenses than the typical Shield Osprey. 2. Phase two. One each limb will be a glowing weakpoint including the forehead, which will occasionally fire a large beam dealing massive damage to a target called out by the pilot of Corpus Prime. Shoot the weakpoint. Destroying weakpoints will only deal damage and will not disable its respective limb. Dealing enough damage to the head will only interrupt firing of the beam weapon but not deal damage to overall health, if not negligible damage. 3. Phase three. Due to damage, Corpus Prime will overheat and be forced to open vents all over its body in order to remain operational at risk of exposing more weakpoints. Shoot into the open vents to deal damage. Corpus Prime will move more quickly in this phase, as well as resort to melee attacks (whether it be kicks, punches, or the Mega Corpus Energy Sword) making it difficult to hit the increased number of weak points. 4. Victory and escape. Once Corpus Prime is disabled, the mission becomes a Hijack mission where you must escort the Orokin Power Core to the evacuation point. The Corpus will stop at nothing to prevent you from escaping with Orokin technology. Rewards: Up for suggestion. DE has final say, of course. baron1357
Event Details (long): 2. Find a secret room and retrieve an intel fragment. This will be a room that has a chance to spawn (yes, RNG, because it would be reckless for all bases to have info on a secret superweapon), and it will spawn on the Corpus side tile set. F_deel
YES MOAR GIANT BOSS FIGHTS DOITDOITDOITDOITDOITDOITDOITDOITDOITDOIT DE!!! I'm just gonna say that it might take a while since they're focusing on Melee 2.0 and all those melee units first before doing something else that might even be not this idea at all
Kintsurugi
it should be a reward set in stone (like a cap or spy mission) not left to RNGesus The room itself would have a chance of spawning, but the room itself is guaranteed to have an intel fragment. Or were you saying that the room should be a guaranteed spawn?
baron1357
The room itself would have a chance of spawning, but the room itself is guaranteed to have an intel fragment. Or were you saying that the room should be a guaranteed spawn? It should be guaranteed for "stealth" missions since they require you to steal information and people to get information In other missions it should be a chance
Kintsurugi
But it's not for stealth missions, it's for invasion missions against the Corpus when the location being attacked is currently owned by the Corpus. The information won't be on all Corpus bases.

Kintsurugi
Like mentioned in the long version of the concept I originally tried to write out this idea as a raid with larger fights but felt that no one would want to do a (should it be a hidden...?) mission with a minimum running time of upwards to an hour. The sequence of fights would be too long and the boss too big. Perhaps if this whole "event" were to be broken down into a long quest line? EDIT: Or one large scale mechanics fight?
