Projectile Speed Mod.

I think that a mod that boosts the projectile speed for bows or bolt weapons may be beneficial to those who want to conserve ammo as well as increase their overall damage output. The restrictions on the mod would be a max 40% increase to projectile speed at 14 mod point drain. The mod would start at a 10% boost to projectile speed and a drain of 8. This mods polarity would be a bar polarity and would have a rare classification and would have a small chance to drop from dual boss on Phobos or have a smaller chance to drop from Captain Vor on mercury.

Yeah I've wanted to see a mod like that for some time as well.

 

Though it could probably set it up in the  50-100% range for it's maximum value. The fastest projectile weapons in Warframe are the Seer and the Lanka at 200m/s, but if you look at say Battlefield or Planetside, just about the only way you can get a bullet (shotguns and some launcher weapons go lower of course) to travel slower than that, is if you use a supressor on some of the lowest velocity SMGs and side arms. Most carbines and assault rifles are in the 400-600m/s range. Warframe's equivalent weapons are generally hitscan, but still, having sniper projectiles traveling slower than some games hand guns is kind of odd.

 

At around 100% you'd basically end up with the throwing weapons traveling at about the same velocities that the plasma and bolt weapons travel at now, with those weapons going up to the Lanka/Seer level, and the Seer/Lanka reaching near hitscan velocities for most of the small to somewhat medium sized tiles (not so much so on the larger ones though). Considering how tight mod space is on most weapons, that doesn't seem too out of line for a whole mod slot.

14 is expensive. How about 7 or 9 at most? For only 40% I wouldn't spend more than 9.
