Fenrisulfr
Because I could swear it used to do much higher dmg than what it does now. At the moment, maxed shuriken with maxed intensify is hitting a lvl 20 grineer for 185 dmg. Just wondering. Could be wrong, but in case I'm not, I'd like a definitive confirmation. Aka_Miso
well it could have been change with damage 2.0 if you never played ash since that came out then if would make sense if not then idk Edited March 27, 2014 by Sasoka
LukeAura
It stopped being serrated damage and turned in to slash.Slash is very weak against alloy armor which is probably what you were going against with the common elite Lancers at level 20.So you're already looking at a hefty armor reduction, but also losing a lot of damage from armors natural resistance to slash damage. LukeAura
When did that happen? Just asking. D2.0.um...5? I think 2.0.5. My exact knowledge is a little iffy. But take a look at the grineer table down below. Elite Lancers have naturally high armor already, and then on top of that their armor effects slash damage negatively by a large amount(It either reduces the damage straight or increases the armor rating to reduce the damage. I don't know which personally.) http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_2.
RealPandemonium
It's not even the armor's resist, it's just that the armor mitigates anything non-radiation substantially. The fact that it's slash just makes it worse.
Fenrisulfr
Well, I've played him last week and the dmg felt higher. Dunno, maybe I just got confused.
LukeAura
Well, I've played him last week and the dmg felt higher. Dunno, maybe I just got confused. Might have been targeting a different enemy. Ferrite Armor is much less resistant against slash damage and is on a lot of common grineer units, Troopers, Scorches, Seekers, Heavy gunners. The increased reduction from Alloy armor found on Elites, Bombards and Napalms might have been what caused you to notice the difference.
Fenrisulfr
Nah, it was one of the regular troops, which is why it felt weird in first place. Its supposed to do about 670 dmg before resistance calculations, so taking off 500 dmg of it felt really weird.
