(Warframe Concept) Fenrir: The Savage. Single Target Assassin.

A little backstory: "Fenrir was created by Grineer scientists to be an apex predator, a unit that struck fear into the hearts of both the Corpus and the Tenno. Fenrir began as little more than a wild animal, savage and hyper-aggressive.  Extensive behavior modification let the Grineer hone his bloodlust and aggression towards specifically attacking high value targets. Due to infighting within the Grineer military, funding once allocated towards producing multiple Fenrir units dried up. Seeing as the project was essentially dead, the Grineer scientists abandoned the underground facilities surrounding Olympus Mons, leaving Fenrir tethered to an enormous boulder."

 

Driven mad by isolation, Fenrir has regressed and no longer recognizes Grineer as friendlies, let alone any other group. Once Fenrir senses players nearby he becomes enraged and eventually breaks free from the boulder.Players must enter the caverns on Mars and do battle with Fenrir in order to win his frame parts.

 

Fenrir is an extremely aggressive looking frame with either a wolf skull/pelt style helm or some other style that ties into the theme. I was thinking of incorporating some Infested charger elements in some way... *Anyone artistically inclined can feel free to run wild with this or if  they have a better idea *

 

 

I've been mulling the frame concept and powers around for a while. I wanted his abilities to mostly be single target  and designed for mostly dealing with heavy enemies/bosses.  Everybody else is doing elemental frames/weapon specific frames, but not many people have done Bruiser/Assassin type frames. I specifically left out values for durations/damage since that's all dependent on balancing/mod build.

Here are some of the ideas for abilities I had: 

 

1. Devour - "Fenrir leaps onto an enemy and begins eating them, causing panic in enemies around him or gaining a slight health boost."   I'm torn as to having it just do damage and Fenrir gains some health back or having it do damage and a panic debuff AOE. Another option is to have it just be a damage and debuff AOE.

-I was thinking of having Fenrir gain a good chunk of health back when performing this but let's face it, health isn't generally an issue unless we're on vampire mode or our shields get taken out.

 

2. Eviscerate- "Fenrir disembowels an enemy, causing massive hemorrhaging." It's basically a powerful bleed DOT for single enemies.

 

3. Gleipnir- " Fenrir unravels his leash and uses it to bind his foes."  It's a bind or root... I haven't decided on whether or not it should be single target with a longer duration or AOE with a much shorter duration.

 

4 (ULTS).  Skoll/Hati summon- "Fenrir summons Skoll and Hati to wreak havoc amongst his enemies." Think Nekros' ult but with only 2 summons, one giant white wolf (Skoll), one giant black wolf (Hati). 

OR

Savage- "Fenrir  leaps onto a target and shreds any armor or shields in order to get to the fleshy bits." Here are some ideas for how the power could work :  1. Single target damage+ Armor/Shield debuff. 2. Single target damage/small knockdown AOE (Blast basically)  3. Very high single target damage but requires all of your energy pool or a small chunk of health/shields to do.

 

Feel free to chime in with alternate abilities or ideas. I'm very curious to see how people react to this.

 

Possible alternate abilities:

 

Hurl- "Fenrir grabs hold of any bound enemy with his leash and whips them around, using them as a weapon that deals impact damage and does some knockback" 

 

Smell Fear- "Fenrir gains a damage boost against any panicked enemies"

 

Ragdoll- "Fenrir lunges forward and grabs an enemy, beginning to shake them violently before throwing them high into the air"  Enemies take fall damage on top of initial damage.

 

Tackle- "Fenrir hurtles towards an enemy and sends them flying." Could work well for knocking enemies off cliffs or ledges or just for sending them flying into other enemies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT 4/4: Ananist suggested that Devour be an AOE for both damage and the panic debuff.

If i say this big black wolf alredy exsist in some game, game names Rappelz. Its a S#&$ty(now) donate mmorpg and have fenrir as a pet, and a skoll as a boss wolf.  *offtop ends*

Skilled melee warrior, dont enough valkyr?

1-st skill vampiric+fear (night stalker?) and the 3-rd so much control for pve its not good, and ex alredy has a flash bang granade.

2-nd skill have a potential in some late survival missions, and i would like to see it in the game.

ult its nothing new and curios, maybe some rage...emm valkyr already have it, some transformation in big bad wolf and giving to frame speed, vision of enemies on the map and some other buffs.

 

Just want to see new interesting abylities in the game and more fun frame. If i wrote something wrong, it becouse im badly know english.

Yeah with his #1 I wasn't sure if it should just do damage and panic debuff or a little bit of health + debuff. His #3 isn't like excal's blind since this is just a root (targets can't move from area for a period of time).  I didn't want to do more buffs for his ult since I really wanted him to be more of a single target heavy/ boss killer.

I think game needs more cooperation, and skills must be having full of their power when you use them with another frame, like a team. 

With a boss killer you be just solo frame (zefir), almost all frames throw 1-2 of their abilities in garbage, i do not approve this practice, but its a hard reality. In some def/surv missions on a late control be with 1-st skill and damage with 2-nd? 

Perhaps be more effective eating a mob and others S#&$ their pants with root(3-rd).And for the third i suggest as a wolf, and there was no such skills, he can be spinning and knock down enemies with his tail.

Having him eat a mob and causing panic is interesting, I'll throw that up as an alternate for his 1.

 

 

The whole reason I wanted him to do single target high damage moves was because pretty much all the other frames have group buffs and AOEs. 

I think he'd work well in a team since he can focus on harder enemies while the other frames that have AOEs can clean up the weaker ones. On later survival and end game content the most dangerous enemies are the heavies like the bombards/napalms or bosses (since they become massive damage sponges) and I figured that he would work well in that context. 

 His 3 would work great in a team situation as you could bind a napalm (and they stop shooting while bound), use your 2 on them causing massive bleeding, then you and your teammates proceed to blast them in the face until they die.
