[Orokin Set] Mission(S), Frame, Enemy, Boss, Sentinel, Mod, Parts/building Materials

Orokin Set: Mission(s), Frame, Enemy, Boss, Sentinel, Mod, Parts/Building Materials

 

Tower Excavation:

 

Tower Excavation is a joint task gamemode where Players must return functionality to the offline tower, however doing so will activate security drones and sometimes other factions may invade the mission.

The mission starts with players spawning in and Lotus gives them the objective of activating a Reactor. (Number increases with Tier level)

 

Before power is restored, Players must utilise their free-running abilities to access certain sections of the tower. There will also be added challenges such as trip lasers and energy removing fields.

 

As power is restored, more rooms unlock, but security becomes tightened. Lotus then warns the Players that they have may have activated what is known as an Orokin Vanguard/Guardian (see below) and are being hunted by it. The Players then must locate several Orokin Artifacts from specialised rooms that are rigged with a large number of traps.

However, before Players are able to extract the doors to extraction enter lockdown and Orokin Vanguard/Guardians deploy and engage the Players. Lotus’s transmissions also become scrambled. Players must destroy the Orokin Vanguard/Guardians in order to lift the lockdown.

 

The Players are then able to escape and complete their mission. Lotus then says that she is preparing an Extermination Team to clear the tower.

Orokin Vanguard/Guardian:

 

The Orokin Vanguard/Guardian (couldn’t decide on which name) is a quadruped mech of Orokin origin. – Very much like the Harvester.

This new enemy’s main purpose was the protection of rare and powerful artifacts onboard Orokin Ships and Tower bases and come well equipped with dealing with entire boarding parties.

 

Weapon(s): The weapons vary depends on what type of Guardian is deployed.

 

Melee: Melee Units are equipped with two blade-like weapons that cause magnetic damage along with dual Glaive launchers that deal radiation damage.

 

Ballistic: Ballistic Units are equipped with dual Gorgan like weapons that have rapid fire and are able to target multiple enemies. Ballistic Units are also equipped with the ability to drop proximity mines and have a Penta weapon attachment.

 

Railgun: Railgun Units are equipped with three railguns (Two Minor and one Major) The two minor railguns are able to target different Players and are very much like the Railgun Moa. However the Major Railgun which is larger and does much more damage takes time to charge, which Players can shoot while charging to do more critical damage.  

 

Abilities:

 

Disruptor Field. – Hitting the Vanguard/Guardian while it activates the field may cause the Player to lose their energy.

 

Wall Running/Climbing. – Somewhat like the Hyenas, The Orokin Guardian/Vanguard is able to run along walls almost to the same potential as players are able to, making the target able to chase them to even the hardest to reach places.

 

Rage. - Once a unit's health drops below 25%, it enters range mode where much like Rhino's Iron Skin + Roar ability, the Unit deals more damage and takes less damage itself.

Vindex:

 Vindex is an Orokin Sentinel that is recovered by destroying Orokin Vanguard/Guardians and Guardian Unit-114. The BP could also potential be researched in the new Orokin Lab.

 

The overall design of the Vindex is like Orokin Ospreys, but look harden for military deployment rather than defence.  

The Vindex comes equipped with a small twin particle laser that fires 30 RPM. As well as this, the Vindex comes with two unique mods.

 

Overcharge – When the Vindex detects hostile forces, it activates an overcharge aura that gives the player a damage buff for 20 seconds (increases with level)

 

Protector – Like Overcharge, Protector activates when hostile forces are nearby. As a result, the protector gives a 25% boost of the player’s base shields for 30 seconds.

Level 5 Mastery

Vindex BP (Dropped by Guardians)

Vindex Chassis (Dropped by Orokin Boss)

Vindex Power Coupling (Dropped by Orokin Boss)

5 Argon Crystals

I actually really like this - combining new enemies, free-running abilities and the use of more levels into one singular idea that should pose a threat to all but the most well-equipped end-game players.

 

EDIT: And I would use Vindex without a doubt - buffs feel far more useful than random invisibility or bringing enemies closer.

I actually really like this - combining new enemies, free-running abilities and the use of more levels into one singular idea that should pose a threat to all but the most well-equipped end-game players.

 

I wanted the feel of something that could actually be a threat to Players rather than just being able to run away whenever things become too much.

 

 

Also Vindex has now been added.
