Joining With Friends

I've seen alot of posts about this but not one specifically tailored to my problem. See I have a friend and he and I have played this game on and off since Beta (We even have the Lato Vandals to prove it, well rather I accidentally sold mine htinking it was the normal lato T~T). Back then, I could invite him, but he couldnt invite me, now its reversed. He has a friend staying with him who also plays on a different computer but same house, and I can't invite him either, yet I can invite anybody else on this game except those two. The funny thing is that they can invite me to sessions. We did the work-around with evolve and it sorta worked. I invited him but it was really latency bugged for him only. Any solutions?
