Inconsistent < -- > Terrible Performance

Howdy,

 

I used to run this game fine on my old laptop (2008).  Then I got a newer, better laptop in late 2012.  And the game ran fine on that for a while.  Then somewhere around Update 10 or 11 the performance fell.  Then that went away and I could run it fine again.  Somewhere between 12 and 13 the performance fell again  I could get about 5 minutes into a game before it fell to a 15 FPS-25 FPS.

 

I was maxing out around 14 FPS in ODD just the other day.  A few days ago I was running Ceres fine at 42 FPS but before that I couldn't even run it.  And today I'm barely staying at 30 FPS (most recent hotfix seems to have messed something up for me).

 

I have ALL settings on low.  Even experimented at running it in 32 Bit mode.  Keep in mind I used to be able to run this game on this very computer on medium/medium-high graphics.

 

 

This happens in both Solo and Online modes.  It is not network lag.

 

 

Any recommendations?

 

 

I know they said 2 livestreams ago that they are working performance tweaks since they found out 3/4 people are running fairly low end PCs or something something.

Processor:  Intel Core i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.3 GHz (8 CPUs)

Memory: 8192 MB RAM

Graphics Card:  Intel HD Graphics 4000 (updated drivers recently and that didn't help)

 

64 Bit

Direct X 11

Yeah I know.  One of the guys on the livestream said they were surprised how many people have integrated graphics cards and it will be addressed...still it ticks me off that the game ran fine on this PC and now doesn't.
