Level Up Basic Mods

Ich have a problem with the vitality,redirection.serration and hornet strik mod.I have been playing for a while and these mods are around rank 7 and i can barely level them up.i have 2 rare fusion cores and they do next to nothing.Is there something i am missing or do i really have to collect hundreds of fusion cores to max them?

Yes, rank 9>10 of a mod, requires about 300 Uncommon mods and 400k credits.

Check the wiki, it does a good job of explaining how the fusion process works. 

But in short anything after rank 7 takes ALOT of cores and credits

the required amount of fusion points doubles every rank.

so yes you need to farm loads of cores to max these rank 10 mods

if you have nekros make sure to use a good desecrate build, i only started using him for about a week or so but i've been getting alot more cores and mods since, it really helps.

aslo you always can counter-act those unmaxed mods with other mods. for example i use heavy caliber with serration to make my soma more powerfull, also a vigor mod or rejuvanation aura can help with your health and shield problem and ect ect ...

Do tower missions for more fusion cores, t3 and t4 are the best. Rare 5 will drop alot and will be rewards, t4 has a common reward of 5 rare fusion cores
