Can't Map Consumables To Touch Pad?

on my PS4 d-pad, by default, Left is "Place Marker" and Down is "Consumables". the other two buttons are not mapped to anything at all.

 

so I had the bright idea to re-map my 4 powers from the Touchpad, to the DPad. and that worked fine for Place Marker(swapping it to the Touchpad), but Consumables cannot be mapped to the DPad.

 

any ideas on how to make this work? maybe set something else on the Touchpad, and move Consumables to another button?

Well my friend told me this genius idea. Map power a to r3. It works very well. So then I map consumables to up d pad.
