What's A Good Melee For A Support Trinity

within days i'll have trinity done constructing and i'm looking for a good melee for he.

now i'm not looking for something that's necessarily high damage (although it would be nice), but im looking for something that provides some CC and/or utility for support purposes.

 

i was thinking something along the lines of the Bo Prime since it has a higher rate of fire than other high status weapons (Serro: 0.9, Jat Kitag: 1.0), thus allowing me to deal decent damage while being able to proc status a decent amount of the time. another weapon i was considering was the Jat kittag, although it's slower it still has high status and can provide a nice ragdoll with slam attacks.

so what do you guys recommend on support trinity? im not looking for damage, mostly utility.

I'd say serro is better, especially if you have all the event mods with an electric/gas build. You'll be stunning everything.

i'd prefer bo prime, you still get the same status chance, but way faster fire rate, i use serro on someone like volt that can speed it up

If you're debating between the serro and bo prime id go with whichever one has the stance you like more since they both do the same amount of damage

Bo Prime. The uncommon stance for staves is one of the best stance mods in the whole game in my opinion, and Bo Prime deals some crazy damage.

trin?...bo prime or jat kittag cuz it looks great...unless ur going to put orokin color sckeme on trin then get bo :D ...its all about looks

I personally like shottys and anything good in short-mid range for trin because link. But for the most part anything works.

i would take brakk or burston prime..i was thinking vectis for 1 shot kill but then again...u will be "in the face" so a boar prime / strun wraith is a good choise too. personally i would go burston for ammo economy and manegement

ok thanks, i was thinking a status primary, but i decided to go with tysis for secondary, so i'll probably go for a shotgun since i already got status covered. thanks for all the help, didn't expect this many people to respond :D

i would recommend marelock over tysis tho...marelock is considered THE strongest secondary after the brakk..its like the new acrid and i can tell u from experience that 4 forma marelock with seeker could take down up to 40+ min t4 void gunners and up to 55+ mins 1 shot to gunners ( with headshot tho). pretty beast..also if u want a statues primary weapon and go secondary like despair or fast firing weapons i would recommend phage / amprex/quanta.

 

basicly phage is viral ( amazing in void ) plus with the right mods u can make it corrosive and viral and i think these 2 are the strongest elements in the void right now.

 

amprex is like synapse but with aoe so is prettty healpful but again u need 4 forma or more.

 

quanta however on the otherside is more like aoe flux rifle so it is good but to unleash its full potiential thats atleast 5+ forma ( most expensive of them all) but arguably the most rewarding.
