Darkwave1098
I currently have a %50 Armor Piercing mod on my boltor, it rips apart bosses and practically all grineer/corpus units. Does it stack/deals more damage couple with the innate %100 AP the weapon already has? Edited April 15, 2013 by Darkwave1098
austinrelis
Yes. I know this because I put 75% AP on my Dual Ether. It does 30 + around 23 damage on a normal grineer. 100 + 75 damage on charge attack, and for some reason, the slide attack is insanely powerful and does around 182. Elhazzared
AP deals more damage even on innate ap weapons. If you read the card properly, it says you give +X% AP damage So say you have +50% that means if you dealt 30 damage with your boltor now you do 45. A common misconception is that the card will transform part of the damage into AP which is wrong. Correct math would be (and let's assume a weapon that has no innate AP like the latron). you have 36 damage, most people would assume that they will now deal (with a 50% ap mod) 18 normal damage + 18 AP damage when in fact they do 36 normal damage +18 AP damage for a total of 54 total damage. the same principle applies to elemental damage, it doesn't converts, it just adds extra damage as that specific type.
