LightSurge
I recently downloaded Warframe, played the game, got addictive, etc. But I started messing around with the options in the launcher, and I pressed "Defrag". I thought it would make it faster or whatever, cause my gameplay was pretty laggy. Then I exited cause I had to go. I went back on and it starts downloading a 5GB "update". I don't know if it was me pressing "Defrag" ; I don't even know what it does. I have limited space left on my laptop, and it's going to take up double the Warframe size on it, (10GB) because of this "update". Anyone have a clue? Dtexas
Defrag should help improve your game on a few fronts. It helps fix things that the game has downloaded but might not actually need anymore. So chances are you are re-downloading 5GB of the game.
LightSurge
Why would it be re-downloading the whole 5GB's, and still take up twice as much as it should have?

LightSurge
i just defraged. took about 2~3 mins and didnt have to download anything Yea, that's what I don't get. I guess I'll wait overnight for it to finish? Oh well, there goes 5 GBs of space :P Edited August 29, 2014 by LightSurge
LightSurge
I also used a game booster if that helps with anything.
Dalawantahr
Maybe because you interrupted it mid process whilst still rearranging files, it may mess up its file structures or corrupted some very important files and the only thing it knows how to fix it is to download the whole game. This is just a guess. Edited August 29, 2014 by Dalawantahr

Darkshanube
Had the same problem, turned off bulk download. It seems to have solved the problem.
