Is It Normal To Never Use Your Secondary?

Title says it all. I find myself never using my pistol, only my primary (rifle/paris) and dual wield swords. Should I be making use of my secondary at all?

I use my Lato Vandal(30) because I still have the MK-1 Braton(30) with no Orkin catalyst. I actually have the catalyst, but I don't want to waste it when I could find a better rifle. It's weak as hell now and can barely fit all the mods I put in it. The Lato on the other hand is filled with enough mods to hit with all three elements and one shot most enemies.

 

So I'm all secondary.

I  use my lex & bronco over my rifles :p 

but if have other pistol  equipped, eg lato, then i just use my rifle since it is more effective.

Two contradictory posts :v. I've only the default pistol, but I'm working for twin vipers. Is this just a matter of playstyle or do some secondaries outshine some primaries?

its ALL a matter of preference.

you will notice that your twin vipers run out of ammo FAST. this might end in you using your primary more often because your secondary is out of ammo.

 

i am playing with this setup:

primary: hek (supercharged)

secondary: akbolto

melee: scindo (supercharged)

 

i rarely use my akboltos since my hek just kills everything AND i like shotguns in general. on infested maps i am using my scindo a lot

if i feel funny, i am using akboltos to pin enemies to walls, or on maps where i have to carry something.
