Login Rewards Need Some Tweaking In My Opinion (Change Suggestions Included *updated*)

Since yesterday f4c30ff and myself have started noting Login Reward Data for the 7+ rotation, we'll post our data and percentages in a month, including time of day to see if that matters at all.
If you want to help us gather more data (PC version) post your results over an entire week here and quote either f4c30ff or myself so we can eventually merge all data into a nice and sexy spreadsheet! Possibly with pie (charts)!

The format we use is aaaa-bb-cc xx:yy <Timezone> <Rotation>, <Login Reward>.
Where A= Year, B= Month, C= Day, X&Y the time of day and the rotation either 0-2, 3-6 or 7+.
We prefer 7+ data as that's what is most important for active and daily players.
(Example: "2014-09-29 13:05 CET 7+ rotation, Secondary weapon xp")

Can we please change the rarity on log in rewards for Forma/Catalyst/Reactor?  I'm not even asking for completed items - I am more than happy to build one from a blueprint.  As it is, I have been logging in almost every day for almost 10 months, and I can count the number of potatoes I have received from log in rewards on one hand.  This is an item everyone needs, and not everyone can afford to fork over the cash to buy them.  In addition, I have never seen a platinum coupon reward.

 

On the other hand, I can't tell you how many times I have received blueprints for Banshee or the Glaive.  Worse than that, I swear every time I log in I get an absolutely worthless amount of affinity or credits.  I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but the amount of experience/credits awarded could be acquired just as easily by running Terminus on Mercury every day when I log in.  It is completely useless as a log in incentive, when literally anything I can do in the game would get me a better return on my experience/credits.  Honestly, if you guys just took out the affinity/credit rewards out, and limited the weapon BPs to a once a month chance, it might fix the problem.  Or at least limit these items to the 0-6 day window.  If we are logging in and playing every day, give us a little more incentive.

Why not ISO format for the date (2014-09-29)? This way, you could collect your data really long without sorting screwing you over after a month (as in: you could sort the rewards column to have all platinum coupons grouped and then sort by date again). Do you take .csv files?

Agree on the ISO format, didn't think of it since we're from the netherlands and we do d-m-y here. But from a developer point of view, it is pretty obvious. 

And yes, a .csv file is no problem :)

I didn't play for a day so the rewards would reset. Finally got on, and lo and behold the 75% discount is in my list of possible rewards.

 

And I miss it by one and get 2500 credits instead.

 

I didn't even bother accepting it, I just alt+F4'd and I'll try again tomorrow. If I still want to play this game by then.

Isn't that a bit harsh? Not even wanting to play the game if your reward sucks?

Though I do understand the feeling after being kicked in the face by getting a crappy reward  'again'.

Got companion Item XP again today... I think I'll skip a day tommorow too see if I maybe get a forma or 75% off..

I would suggest to give us the chance of another login reward. To get it DE is asking a common knowledge question like light speed travel time. So we could feel smart and DE could give Warframe a very encouraging way of being intelligent. These mechanics can be a big boost to outward appearance.

I finally got my first Forma from login rewards today. 

And the strange thing is, so did Xarfrax! coincidence? I tend to think not....

 

Anyone else get a Forma today?

The human brain is trained to find patterns in randomness. A friend and I both got the firework on the same day (October 3rd) - might not seem like a coincidence, but I'm rather confident that it is.

I do remember back when the game started, f4c30ff and myself played on the same days and, coincidentially or not, our login rewards where identical for several months. We went out-of-sync after a few months, one of us stopped playing, and it hasn't been the same since, altho we both got a Forma today, i still believe, and thus agree with you Bibliothekar, that we're out of sync and it's just a coincidence this time.
I do however believe that the login rewards use a specific rotation depending on when the 7+ was reached.

As you can see, 16/34th (~47.1%) are "useless" xp rewards and 9/34th (~27,5%) are useless BP rewards because i already had them.
So as you can see already ~75% of the login rewards are, mildly said, displeasing to see upon login eventually.
- The 20% discount is for sure, knowing you can get 50-75% (yet i've seen both only once in about 8 months of active logins).
- The bp's are only useful once per account and only if you haven't already found them or acquired them before they where removed or otherwise made obscurely acquirable.
- 10k credits buys me nothing of interest so it's worth nothing.
- A Tx key can be farmed every 5 minutes in the right place, so it's not special to get or see.
- And my argument for xp being useless is that if someone actually likes playing a frame that frame will be farmed up to 30 in no-time, so you'll get some minor login xp for a frame you have (nearly)maxed or one you never plan to use anyway and you must switch your loadout upon logout to take advantage of this or else it's wasted anyway.

So what's left? Yup, 2 Forma and even for me that wasn't useful as i hardly forma anything other that the things i use, which is a select few i already forma'd. However i still think getting a Forma in general is a good reward so i'll skip my personal experience on this one.
Now we have 2/34th in useful rewards, ~5,9%, now i'm no rocket scientist, but this doesn't look rewarding at all now does it?

Suggestions/improvements:
Now if the xp reward would give an instant level regardless of it is rank 0 or 29 it would make it a much more reliable reward as you'll always have at least 1 more modpoint to tweak your build with, however i personally think these should be removed entirely and instead be replaced by something like a mod and if the Archwing quest is completed potential Archwing mods (25% chance if the quest is done).
The higher the login streak (7+, 30+), the better chance you have on a rare or a good uncommon mod like Stalker's stance mod.
Maybe give the 30+ a 5-10% chance on prime parts and bp's if you really want to reward people for playing every day.
You could even remove the login reward system completely and instead give a bonus mod, forma, discount or bp as the first daily win.
That way you encourage people to play, instead of just logging in for a reward.

Sadly i'm done with Warframe for now. Don't like the Archwing gameplay, it simply doesn't fit my style.
If i wanted to play a game where 50% of my time would be traveling from A to B i'd play Oregon Trail, Zelda Windwaker or Transport Tycoon.
