Why Does The Opticor Sound Like A Laser Pistol?

Topic - it's really dissonant with how damaging and "one hit wonder" it is.

I just can't help but feel like the bark is much, much smaller than the bite. I don't understand why every weapon in warframe is high pitched and barky like an anklebiter terrier - even the standard weapon for archwing (which is the size of rhino) sounds like an SMG or something.
