Pie4man
First a little back story: A coil gun is a theoretical idea for a weapon it's works by having a projectile most likely a ferromagnetic projectile become accelerated by electro magnets and launch at a great velocity. This theory was created by Carl Friedrich Gauss note the word Gauss in Gauss rifle How it would work in game is basically the same you charge up the rifle and shoot a large projectile at very high velocity it would be combined with a high ranged scope to make for a deadly sniper rifle. Stats Physical: 600 (At Full Charge) Impact: 250 Puncture: 300 Slash: 50 Trigger Type: Charge (Scoped Weapon) Critical Damge 2.5x Critical chance 30% Stats 10% Parts: Found in archwing intercepting mission Gauss Rifle: Coils Gauss Rifle: Stock Gauss Rifle: Barrel Any Comments? Celle-Reveris
Due to the frigid nature of (outer) space and higher realistic stopping power(ignoring orokin magi-- science.) a railgun would be, and is in the works last I checked, more viable as a long range sniper. The primary difference mechanically is the lack of a need to "charge". So while a railgun would be the legitimate "stand 10 miles back and hit a dime" weapon, the gauss/coil rifle would be the "DMR"- the latron for archwings, so to speak.
