Wyrm Sentinel Help

i just got my wyrm sentinel , but everytime when i`m starting a mission, when they start to attack me, my sentinel is dead, what should i do? ( my sentinel is 0 MOD , but i have over 10 mods in my inv for it ) . do i have to continue like that until my sent will be level 2 ?waiting for some help. thank you

level him on mercury a bit, he gains experience during and at the end of the mission.

Both Sentinels are best suited at early levels in Infested maps.  Up until Sentinel rank 7-8 (Warsuit high-teens) they are easily killed.  Once past 7 or 8 you'll see a striking increase in survivability.  My Wyrm is currently equipped with a fair few mods including Crowd Dispersion, Warrior, Vitality, Steel Fiber, Fast Deflection, Redirection, Guardian and lastly Regen.  Junior just flipped over to 18 and it takes a fair amount to take him down.  With Fire on his laser rifle the Infected fear him.
