Toxic Ancients Affecting Cryopod

The cryopod is a sealed container containing a sleeping Tenno. Since the container is sealed should the Toxic ancients poison cloud not affect it? I have seen this as the rather frequent cause of loss on infested defense, as soon as toxic ancients pile the pod they could just stand there and it would still die. Now if these were acidic then it would make sense for it to damage the pod. But seeing as it appears to only be poison logically it should not affect the pod.

 

TL:DR Cryopod is a sealed container so why is the poisonous gas killing it?

This needs to be fixed. If a Toxic Ancient gets there in a very high defense wave, the cryopod is as good as dead, because even if you manage to kill it, his poison cloud continues to deal extremely high damage to the cryopod.

Yup, my group was cruising along content as can be with the high end mobs, it was getting tough but not ridiculous. Then one little toxic ancient slips through at wave 18 and poof its basically dead.

Needs fix for balance reasons, needs fix for lore reasons.

 

Anyone think otherwise? Anyone going to argue it should be kept as is?

Not to mention the Grineer rollers getting stuck in the pod/core and dealing tons of damage to it.

 The problem has happened here and there and been stopped before.  Apparently the problem is back again and will need some attention.

 

 Remember also that the cryopod really isn't that tough.  If two chargers get in and start swinging on it, they can down it in a few seconds also.  You just get a warning for those that you don't get for the poison clouds.

 

 If the problem stays in then they at least need to represnet both the shield and health bars of defense objectives instead of just one percentage bar.
