Why do we constantly get the message: "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community."

Because you keep trying to link Steam screenshots which has a specific mechanism in place to prevent hot-linking.

Or use non-supported images formats. Try JPEG or GIF.

I am linking jpeg's and GIF's that are NOT steam screenshots - with the appropriate %7Boption%7D tags.

To post an image on the forums you must use the BBCode image tags ( as shown below ).

[img=http://blog.ischoolmusic.org/storage/kiwi.png] OR [img]http://blog.ischoolmusic.org/storage/kiwi.png[/img]

*Replace the image URL with yours*

When you add the URL you must make sure there is nothing after the .png or .gif, because IP.Boards won't be able to pick it up as a valid image extension.

Ah that was my problem - not using a root URL that contained the file name explicitly.

Thanks for the help ^_^

I want to post my fanart but I don't know how to and is there a size or dimension I should follow?

Greetings!

I have found that the following website, http://www.bbcode.org/, can be very helpful with some basic BB codes.  Every Forum system is different (some options aren't enabled) but this should give you a good starting point on some basic commands.

Have a great day!
