nzzero
As the title says, the hostage gets stuck in narrow pasages if whole floor is covered with charred debris on the "ship is damaged" mission types. He doesnt know jsut how to walk over it.
accidentally
I get this as well. Sometimes there's even a path around the fire and he just wont go near it because the fire is near. The only way I've been able to overcome this is fail the mission and hope it doesn't have fire again or play with a loki to teleport him past the fire Edited February 26, 2013 by accidentally
Ethelnalen
Don't wanted to make new topic, but this is still happening. Even if there is way around the fire on floor, hostage won't go there. He should get some alternative pathways or something. Or just make him teleport to player if he can't find way.
Tulzscha
I also experienced the exact same issue, twice. In the end it didn't matter as when I got to the exit, it still said "mission successful". Hooray for leaving the hostage on a burning ship! :D
Woolytop
The hostage also won't get on elevators if the ship's in lockdown, and sometimes gets stuck in that little passage under the catwalk in that ship tileset. I am against "Teleport the hostage to me*, though, because you're supposed to be escorting the hostage to extraction. If he teleported to you, at that point the objective might as well just be "Make it to the end in one piece".
Tymorafarr
They should include an option to piggyback the damn hostage, limiting you to your sidearm, like those purse-carrying missions.
Tulzscha
Also, they should make the hostage, oh I don't know, USE his/her sidearm, shoot something and not be dead weight for the mission? Or perhaps their captors allowed them to have their guns while in the cell with no ammo lol. Edited April 19, 2013 by Tulzscha
BigBagles
I also had this problem today, but I just kept going forward and got "mission successful". And the fact that he is not using his gun at all is annoying.

Hooray for leaving the hostage on a burning ship! :D Yeah but if reinforcements come and you're in another room you can't protect the hostage=he dies=mission failed. So i believe this is quite a serious issue, especially for those "statistic perfectionists". Loosing "completion rate"% for a bug. Unacceptable. CosyPigeon
Last time I had a hostage rescue mission with the fire mission parameter, the damn hostage stood in the fire and suicided, and I got a mission fail.

I guess I was lucky that no respawns happened when I dashed for the exit. Currently my "workaround" is to only use Loki for rescue missions to ensure that I can use Switch Teleport to get the brain dead hostage to where I want to go in case the pathfinding bugs out. denmax
The current temporary solution for this is to clear the room and rush to extraction as quickly as possible, because the team still hasn't implemented detecting the hostage if he is in extraction or left behind stuck. The funniest is how Lotus tells me that I already found the hostage while behind his jail cell. I just leave him there because he's basically safest there.
