Crits Never Show Up

my akimbo pistols have 100% pistol gambit on it but when i play defense or any maps crits barely show up?

It's an added multiplier, not an addition to %.

That means, a 100% pistol gambit will double your base crit rate

ah i see how much of a multiplyer is the crit dmg compared to the normal dmg?

With a crit dmg mod, I believe it's addition to % (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Which means if your base crit damage is 1.5x damage on crit, a 120% crit dmg mod will make it 2.7x

If I'm not mistaken, Aklato's(assuming you are using those) have a 2.5% crit chance(5% is average, 7.5% for a few weapons, and 20% for the snipers and some swords), and crit for 50% extra damage(Which is average, very few weapons crit for 100% extra damage). So you have a 1 in 40 chance of dealing 50% extra damage, or 1.25% extra damage from crits. With your crit chance mod, your crit is increased to 5%, so an extra 1.25% DPS. If you were to add a maxed crit damage mod to that as well, you should be dealing 13.5% DPS from crits, so a total increase of 12.25% damage from both mods. In other words, it's awful, because not only do you need to rely on luck, but the amount you gain for the mod capacity and costs isn't worth it at all.
