Deflect Laserz Like Star Wars

I had this idea like a minute ago in game while running around holding block. My idea is that while holding block with a sword, you can block bullets and deflect lasers. This sounds like a really nice idea and I'm positive that I'm not the first one that thought about this.

Maybe a sword mod that deflects damage but this would be not logic for weapons that fire with bullets, also its always faster if you just shoot the target. There are more important things to do in this game.

You can already block bullets. Well, generally projectiles. The Corpus plasma guns are also blocked. 

Lasers? if you mean like the door lasers, nah. 

It's not a true block though, more of a damage mitigation thing. Bullets take 1 shield instead of 5 with every hit.

You could be killing it instead, like the other guy said. Still I can see potential.

 

In the Jedi knight video games you could not only deflect lasers but send their trajectory back in the direction you were looking so you could literally kill storm troopers with their own guns.

 

 

Now if blocking prevented knockdown from ground pound enemies that would be cool too.
