Felnia
they are already particles right? and theres other types of physx in other games then why cant DE use more physx for the cloth? if its from the warframe i would get it but it would be nice to have cloth breaking, liquid, and debris staying. Dalimir
Because Physx is for particle EFFECTS, like making more snow fall, or luminescent embers (As seen when using abilities/enemies disappear etc.), more rubble from explosions, etc. Small things that add a little more detail, clothe physics is a whole different beast altogether. VoidPunch
Most of what you are suggesting is probably not supported by their engine yet. Clothe physics weren't even supported by their engine in the early days of this game. I'm sure they will add more of these advanced clothe sims later. Fluid sims are also entirely different then clothe and particle sims as well. All these have to be supported by their engine to work. To add to Dalimir's point, they do have clothe in the game already. They needed a different system then there engine currently supported for cloth physics. You can see that in a different engine (probably maya) they made clothe physics work perfectly in the "Sword Alone" Update Trailer. They are currently separating Frost, Trinity, and Volt's meshes so they can work with clothe physics in the first place.
TheSadisticDragon
There is a difference between PhysX and physics. PhysX is just a program that creates particles. Cloth physics needs other tings to work, but you can see their new prototype for cloth phisics in the latest dev stream. https://n8k6e2y6.ssl.hwcdn.net/sites/all/themes/warframeWhiteReskin/images/articleImgs/5/ClothPhysics.gif Edited January 13, 2015 by TheSadisticDragon

Dartiel
Liquid effect? We'd literally have a water bullet hose weapon. \o/
