Is The Second Bullet From Multishot Supposed To Have Full Damage?

I have a Kraken with multishot at 100% and the +120% damage mod, but whenever I hit something (like the ancient weakspot), the full 90 damage is shown, but then there's only 20 damage shown for the second bullet... Anyone else seeing this?

Weapons fitted with multishot tend to be less accurate over distances, the bullets might not hit where you aimed it to be, if you fit multishots on bolt based weapons, fire it over a distance, you can see the gap of the distance between the fired bolts

Do you have an elemental or armor piercing mod equipped to that weapon? Those have their own damage numbers that are almost always less than the main damage number.

 

You pictures appear to show that you have a fire mod equipped, this would suggest that the lower damage number is the extra damage from the fire mod while the larger number is combining your main damage from the two projectiles together.  (Shoguns will sometimes combine all the damage into a single number and other times will show each pellet's damage individually, would not be surprised of burst weapons do the same.)

 

Might check the wiki discussions about the Kraken and multi-shot mods and see what others have observed too.
