This has Sword Art Online written all over it. Not that they're first with it. You could at least have your own amount of floors/levels.

 

Sword art online, ya kinda sorta.

 

But this concept has been introduced to alot of games.

 

There is a reason for that, its because its such a cool concept.

 

 

It could turn into a sort of Arcade Mode!

 

TennO tower, arcade mode with gradual progress and boss fights =P

 

Leading up to a final boss.

 

Would be epicsauce

But basically you mean a game mode with a huge tower where you need to fight your way to the top. similar to Tower of Druaga and Sword Art Online right?

 

Lets do it!!! sounds like fun if correctly implemented. Very rpg-ish

A little reversal of the classic theme:

 

A drop ship deposits you at the TOP of the tower (to avoid detection), and you have to fight your way to the bottom to ground level where a Tenno spy with valuable intel awaits your rescue just outside. As you fight your way from top to the bottom, the rooms get larger since the base of a tower is wider at lower levels. The very last room at the bottom is the largest room and contains a huge boss which would never fit into the top of a tower, it is so big that only the very largest room can contain it!

 

Optional twist: there is a basement !!!

I like this,  but the ending boss fight would not be as beautiful when your underground =P

 

imagine fighting a big boss on the roof of a massive tower that almost touches space ^-^

Someone did mention we needed a flying boss, he agreed on it being a cool idea.

It isn't TL:DN

 

It is an epic end game idea. personally I feel if we had this and like three other major end game ideas we'd be set for that whole "End game" thing.

 

Yea and after a few people make to the top of this tower, maybe they could use that time to add another variant.

 

 

Like maybe after they reach the top of the tower...

 

They beat the boss, who ends up exploding and leaving behind a big portal.

 

And you can only access this portal by defeating the last boss on the top.

 

 

Once you go through the portal it takes you to a majestic place, even more mysterious then the orokin.

 

Like an multidimensional space where enemies transcend multiple existences and are VERY hard to kill.

 

 

Like each enemy you see there would be a boss, and can nearly one shot you on its own.

 

 

But this place would be able to drop super rare mods, and maybe Super rare fusion cores.

 

 

 

Kinda like the secrete cow level in diablo 3?

If it has a 100% drop it totally defeats the purpose of endgame.

You do know what END GAME is right? It is about when you finally have all that epic gear and you and a TEAM want to work you way to the top! (yay pun)

 

It would be interesting to have a set of EndGame ideas each ending with a special BP of sorts... :D

100% drop rate, due to the players not being able to speed rush through each boss run 100 times.

 

 

In order to get to the level 10 boss, they have to literally beat through 10 fairly difficult levels.

 

Which is 100% drop for one of the blue prints.

 

 

If they want to get blue prints for the level 20 boss.

 

they have to run through 20 levels.

 

which has a 100% drop rate.

 

 

 

This would be ALOT more difficult then getting blueprints through the other bosses. 

 

Because its a 100% drop rate for random blue prints...

 

it might take you a month to get all 3 different blue prints from the level 80 boss or something.

This looks interesting.  Why not add a mode like this? It would certainly add some much-needed variety to the game.

 

Ammo does seem like it would be an issue a few floors in, but I figure we'd burn that bridge when we got to it.

 

Also, Grandarex, that actually sounds like an awesome idea.  :D  Kind of like a Dark Link/Dark Pit kind of dealie.  :3

Level 100 Boss: Exact copy of yourself with same weapons and same skills. (Maybe buffed a little bit more to give it more challenge?) 

 

 

"You are your own worst enemy"

 

Makes me think of that boss fight in guild wars 1  =P

 

 

 

I duno about the last boss fight though.

 

maybe like the 90th floor or 80th floor.

 

 

The last boss needs to be one of those huge bosses, like shadow of colossus style, that we all have been wanting.

 

And maybe it can fly, like a floating orokin spectre or something

So took a shower just now and got another idea for this and the boss drops!

 

Have it so every boss has a 100% chance to drop an item. 1-6 would drop special items meant for a blueprint later on(getting to it :3)

7-9 bosses could drop weapons and an item. boss 10 has four items in his set to drop 1 weapon, and three BPs these BPs could use the various items you gain from the other bosses, one of the BPs could use all three of the 7-9 weapons to make a whole new weapon!(maybe a frame made out of weapons XD)

 

This way as you fight up and fail on higher bosses you get stuff that when you do finally make it to the top you get something you can probably already make...Never liked fighting a super hard long battle then get something like a BP and need to farm for the stuff ruins the victory for me.

 

Another idea I came up with is something like KingdomHearts, on the lower floors there could be something like a console with the Lotus symbol on it and it takes you to a super hard secret bosses (KH1 best bosses were just done by talking to buddies like Tinkerbell and bam super hard boss fight! They were placed so you could not do them unless you had access to the story's last boss(he was a push over...)) So even after you beat the Tower you could go back and change paths or something?
