However I've seen a couple posts about high taxes (30%). First of all 30% isn't high considering you can go up to 100%. Secondly, you need taxes of some degree on your rails to make back any sort of bank from you fights and to put up battle pay in the first place. Plus if you want to make a reference to an alliance that promised low taxes, go back to when V first appeared, they promised to take Sechura back and give it to Space Confederation or keep it themselves and keep 0% taxes on it. All the alliances have promised this at one time or another. Good effort on the rail conflict, a pity that you lost when so close to victory.
