Game Disappears But Is Still "playable"

I was running though the Archwing Sabotage on Saturn, had made sure to kill ALL the enemies that had spawned anywhere, and was on my way to extraction when the screen went black before showing my desktop. At first I thought the game had crashed but I discovered through my audio that I could still move and fire, I was simply unable to see the game. It's also worth mentioning that as long as Warframe was "open" in this state, I was unable to interact with my desktop in any way, even if I had the game minimized.

 

Not willing to part with the affinity I had gotten I tried to "feel" around the reactor room via sound, but that didn't work. I resorted to killing myself via collisions and Seeking Fire, managed to do it, but was unable to find the revive decline button. With nothing else working, I was forced to close the game via task-manager.

 

Btw, I actually failed my driving test today, so thank you for kicking me in the teeth Warframe, I really needed that today.

this happens when WF causes a driver crash. your graphical drivers die, then recover, but fail to re-attach to WF.

 

only thing you can do is update your drivers, and even then it will still happen from time to time. just pray it does.
