Meneliki Posted February 2, 2015 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Hey guys, Last Tuesday(Jan 27), my modem crapped out. I have internet/phone through it so neither of those services were available. Using a cell phone I was able to contact the company and they weren't able to have a technician there for 3 days... so, Friday he shows up and replaces the modem. All the lights come back on, he says 'done!' and leaves. I immediately find out that it still doesn't work. I get intermittent connection to both internet and my phone's dialtone; 1-2 minutes of connectivity, followed by 1-2 minutes of down time. Rinse and repeat. I call the company back immediately, to find out I have to wait till the following day to get him back here. So he shows up the next day, spends 3 hours at my place replacing cables and such, at the end of which he is still unable to fix it. He says a specialist might fix it over the weekend, but probably not until Monday(today). Here we are Monday, and it's still not fixed. So I found a brief window to call the company back to ask them what's going on, and I'm told that the specialist should show up within 5-10 business days. Starting today. Which means if I'm lucky, it'll be Friday before Im back up and running. And if I'm not...(and I'm usually not), it could be another 2 weeks. Sooooo... what does all this mean? Well, it means: - I wasn't able to attend last week's Adopt-A-Newb event - I missed the latest DevStream - The 2 7-day boosters I bought on Tuesday have gone completely wasted - I won't be able to gather credits/ducats for Baro Ki'Teer this week - I won't be able to participate in the Mirror-the-Mod contest which I was *really* looking forward to - I'll miss another few weeks of daily rep, logins, general gameplay/fun etc. What does all this have to do with you? Nothing! This isn't anyone else's problem, I'm just reaaaalllly frustrated right now and I'm feeling the need to vent. If you're still reading, thanks for that.
