GTG3000
"The result of scarcity of resources, Eclipce chain axe is a weapon with reach and flexibilty, provided at the price of convenience." Eclipce chain axe Looking like a 3/4th circle of pure cutting edge qith a t-like handle and a tension chain, attached to a retraction mechanism and folding to fit where the glaive fits now, this weapon would provide extended melee reach and a tool against crowds of enemies at the tradeof of weak normal damage and inability to shoot while it's in the air. Base damage: 30 Base firing rate: 1.0 Base charge damage: 80 (100?) Base charge speed: 1.0 Normal attack much like the one of the glaive, with the exception of third attack in the combo making a wide swing on the chain, dealing armour-ignoring aoe damage with stagger. Charged strike would result in launching the weapon much like glaive. Unlike the glaive, however, the range is quite limited by the chain. First enemy hit gets a guaranteed knockback, if the damage doesnt kill him. Reaching the limit, as well as hitting an enemy or a wall, begins the retraction of the chain, as well as the most fun part. As the chain begins to retract, the player gets full control over the blade, alowing to swing it at the enemies, dealing same armour-ignoring damage with stagger. Tapping E while it's in the air would result in an immediate return, not to make it unmanageable if you need your gun right now, while holding E would make the warframe stop the chain from retracting, putting the control completely into players' hands, allowing for controlled slashes against the crowd or immediate return if it looses momentum. Obviously, slide attack would employ the axe to damage every foe in reach greater than that of a scindo even... With a tradeoff of the damage actually being limited to a circle, rather than normal all-round AoE. Thoughts? Rotten tomatoes? SolluxCaptorTA
A little OP. Knock down the damage and such, and it would make a great utility melee.
GTG3000
A little OP. Knock down the damage and such, and it would make a great utility melee. Changed charge damage to 80. Think it needs to be even lower? Or remove the armour ignore for the 'retraction' damage? The base damage isn't op, I think, since it's only 1.0 rate for 30 damage.
