MJ12 Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 I don't mean "more random" drops, but more "random drops", just to make it clear. Before Update 7, mods were utterly random. You could get the utterly useless fabled super-rare Lv30 Loot Radar, or the +25% Armor Piercing Damage/+100% Multishot mod that everyone wanted but nobody could find. This added the Diablo II random loot excitement, because nothing was ever set in stone and you could get cool things. It was also an utter nightmare to balance which is why they didn't bother and scrapped it all. However, the random loot and abilities you could get kept people playing. I suggest having some sort of similar randomness going on ingame. Enemies should have a chance to drop, let's call them "BIOS Alterations" for now. These things would give random small benefits (at most, say, +5-10% to one or two stats, with possibly -5-10% to another) and be randomly dropped from enemies. You could equip a certain number of them on your gear (say, 1 or 2 per gear) and what they affect would be totally random. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
