Me Complaining About Warframe's Crafting System

This is a very silly thread.

 

For one...

The crafting system may not be for everyone, but it's a feature of the game.

 

I actually LIKE crafting weapons, gathering mats, finding rare blueprints.

I like the feeling of satisfaction wielding a weapon I worked hard for.

 

Playing 6 games and being given a free weapon is a lot less rewarding.

 

But more importantly...

 

This thread has gone on for several pages that ammount to;

I HATE CRAFTING GRR DE GIVE ME EVERYTHING FOR FREE NOW

vs

CRAFTING IS FINE YOU JUST IS DUMB EVERYBODY SHOULD WORK FOR THEIR GOALS

I would, but only if the price scaled down with the time remaining.

 

The closer an item gets to completion, the more excited I am to get it. But I don't because it would still be full price.

Agree, That's an idea they may take into consideration, we'll see.

This is why I quit. Endless grind for an unlock and once you got it game over. :s

I like the crafting system as it is. I think the issue is many F2P players are used to instant-gratification games and the crafting system here requires that they pay for it. The only change I believe is needed would be scaling rush costs. No one will pay 30 plat to rush something with 30 minutes left. Reducing the cost as a % of remaining time, with a minimum of around 5 plat, would see this option used much more.

Anyone coming from EvE Online will not mind this system. Anyone coming from games that do a S#&$ job at rewarding players will hate it.

Just because it seems justified does not make it okay to continue wih such a system.
