Lagswitch?

I don't exactly know where to post this so I'll do it here.

 

Is it possible that someone can use a lagswitching tool to severely cripple your connection up to the point where the game gets unplayable?

 

I've been farming XP for weapons in a certain dark sector. It's been 3 times now that I've met that guy and every time the game becomes unplayable due to severe lag. Monsters and players teleport all around the place.

 

I've played a fair share of Dark Souls 2, and some cheaters used "Lagswitch" to teleport around the map, pretty much like what happens when I meet this guy.

 

So, is it possible that some people can sweep you off the game by using external tools?

A lag-switch would be rather pointless against AI's. And unless he's hosting his presence shouldn't effect your game like that, really... Don't know what to say, but I doubt it's a switch. There are literally no positives to using one against PvE enemies.

I would recommend taking it up with support to see if they can help. Alternately you could try and contact the player and see if you can squeeze an answer out of them.
