Apparently it is going to be a 6-part theatrical release that is going to be aired during November. Was hoping for more of an anime series, but this is fine. It was announced that there would be a new digimon series since last year, they also aimed to release it in april, but it still wasn't ready, and instead they choose to make the aimed release an april fools. Maybe the link you are giving us might have some updated news since i haven't read it. Pardon my ignorance if i'm somehow missing your point. (atleast that's what i think) It might be differet and might fit to your liking. After all, the characters have grown up alot (17 years old). Read the article first.
