Also, Guild Wars, The Coffin Princess, Soul Calibur, Bloodborne, Scott Pilgrim vs. World, Deadman Wonderland, One Piece, so on, so forth. The optionally-flexible blade is probably as - if not more - used than the strait-up flexible sword. (i.e.Urumi) There's something of an awesome factor to taking the iconic sword and adding range (and impractical mechanics) to it. Also, I was thinking it'd be nice just to have a heavy blade in the whip stances for the sake of it, but truly using the chain-sword to its maximum effectiveness would ask for combos to use both the short and flexible states of it - it may come out resembling the Lacera, with its short-and-long combos.
