Modifying Geometry Or Unwraps?

I noticed a polycount restriction in the help article. Does this mean we can modify the geometry, either now or at some point in the future? Will we be allowed to alter UVW's?

We are currently not allowed to modify the geometry or UVs of a Warframe, or weapon. Workshop Syandanas can be custom meshes though, so if you're working on one, you've got freedom to make it as awesome as you want! :D

 

I read somewhere that in the distant future, custom character meshes may be supported, but for now we can only modify textures.
