Slum.Dog
Ok, for the majority of the time, I've been using this monitor; http://www.amazon.com/HP-W2338H-23-Inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B001UHOX28 I had to let someone else in the house use it for the time being and now i'm stuck with this;http://www.amazon.com/Acer-X183H-18-5-Inch-LCD-Monitor/dp/B001ER6CCI I did some quick searching for their specs but I can't seem to figure out why the HP runs my games at 60fps but the Acer drops it significantly. If someone could explain to me the (probably simple) reason for this, that would be great. :) Edited December 4, 2015 by xTreyRobx

direcyphre
Only way this could ever make a difference is if the game defaults to the maximum resolution of the monitor (which typically doesn't happen if you are on the same computer and have already set a game to a particular resolution). Overall, monitors don't impact performance, however. Unless there was something really wrong with the refresh rate, but that hasn't been a problem for a long time. Although if the Acer is having the problem, maybe your drivers are trying to do DSR (down-sampling, making a large resolution fit in a smaller space)?
