[Spoilers] Lens And Its Exp.

Hopfully this wont upset anyone in case of any spoiler it may contain.

 

I ususally never post on forums, but as the update was very recent it was hard for me to find the answer I was looking for so here it goes.

 

I understand to a point how the new focus system works.  Generally speaking, once you install the lens on to either frame or weapon of your choice, assuming these are max ranked, the additional affinity or exp you gain through playing will stack towards focus exp.

 

Now, I also understand that it may be possible to change the focus you have selected given you have 50k affinity stacked.

 

My question I guess is since we are given lens of the same focus symbol, can the exp we earn in one symbol be used towards another symbol or focus?

 

Ex. The ironman focus exp hits 50k, can this be used to shift your focus from ironman to something else? (I forget the name sorry).

 

My guess would be no... but I just wanted to confirm.

Maybe to unlock a new tree, but you probably need a focus for that tree to put in points for it.
