Colorful Damage Indicators

Short and sweet:

 

 

Purple Critical Values. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

What are they for?

 

White = Regular Hit

Yellow = Critical Hit

Red = Slightly higher critical damage (if more than 100% Critical Chance)

Purple = ???

 

Was mainly using Mag abilities. Saw those purple values in the past with Loki, but not that often.

Might be a "Critical Hit on shields"-thingy?

Short answer: nobody bloody knows.

 

Long answer: everyone assumes that it's simply "overshield damage" or "critical overshield damage" or "red-crit overshield damage" or some variation of that, but considering that it only appears very rarely and is impossible to replicate with any of these methods, the end result is that nobody bloody knows.
