the story is set in an age where photocopying is so expensive.  Come on, duplicating a blueprint from your own clan's lab costs 15k creds?

 

My suggestion is to make the duplicate bp from labs not sellable (not that you want to make this tradeable to anyone outside the clan) and make it free.  Or at least make the price significantly lower (and correspondingly lower the selling price) than blueprints on the market where you are actually buying something from somebody else.

 

After that, add the difference from original price  to the crafting cost.  that way the cost to make something stays constant but it actually make people feels like they are possessing some technology, like the photocopying machine.
