Screen Turning Black Everytime I Open A 'menu'

so this started today

after u18.1 went live i jumped in the game and opened the shop selected the little helper hat and my screen went black, hitting escape fixed it but it happens at mission nodes where there are multiple options and many other places, any help? i updated my amd drivers a couple of days ago if that is of use.

reproduce able by the following

open warframe

click the sortie mission.

then it goes dark

this might do better in the ui section, if someone wants to move it please do so.
