Sandmanslim37
So I had a 25 dollar card. I used it to buy the 20 dollar plat deal and it said total would be 20.75 but that the other 4 dollars would have to be surrendered. What's the deal with that? It should mention that you either use exact amounts or you lose the balance. Totally uncool.
OniDax
So, it's a cheap way of making you pay more for the plat than you normally would?
Quidam2k
This entire promotion makes them look really bad and reeks of scam. You have to forfeit the entire card, but they also have a fee which they don't tell you about ahead of time. I bought a $40 card specifically for this promotion and when I went to spend it on $40 of platinum (the $50 deal with a 20% off login reward) I was informed that I didn't have enough on the card to cover it. Others have posted about the fee and the inability to learn what it will be ahead of time. Meaning you have to gamble that the card you have is big enough and you have no idea how much you're forfeiting either. While I appreciate the attempt to give users a good deal by awarding bonus platinum during the holidays, this implementation is far from workable and comes across as deceptive. I'm glad I got a card for an establishment I visit frequently anyway, otherwise I'd be stuck with it. Poorly played, DE.
