Ignis Questions

I am trying to make a good build for the ignis, so I looked at the wiki. It says that speed trigger has no effect, but in the tips section it encourage use of speed trigger to make it fire faster.

Also does the flame penetrate enemies or do you need metal auger for that?

And does hellfire do anything?

Hellfire should have an effect since they showed that ice elemental works on it in the last livestream.

not sure why you would want speed trigger on it since it empties it clip faster then a viper.

in last live stream, they used cryo rounds, Ignis is a fire based weapon, Hellfire is a fire damage mod. OP's question: Fire + Fire = moar fire?

Well as piercing hit works with the boltor, so should hellfire work with ignis.

 

Think about it this way.

They add damage ON TOP of the base damage, no matter what kinda damage type it is, well unless it would be specified different, which it aint.

 

So yea hellfire + ignis = more fire damage

 

But tbh it is just a guess on my side, but a guess i am kinda really trusting in, atleast of how i know the elemental mods.

Elemental damage are calculated differently.

 

Lets say Ignis = 100 dmg

and hell fire = 60%

 

Then each sec, it will do 100 dmg (base) + 60 dmg (mod) and this 60 dmg pops up with 100 !

Mod the Ignis like you would any other gun: Multishot, Serration, and Piercing Hit as core, then throw in Cryo and other stuff.
