Method To Reduce Graphics Further?

I'm currently running Warframe on a really crappy laptop that I probably shouldn't be running it on.

I've turned off every extraneous effect in the graphics tab in game and set resolution to 800x600 and fullscreen.

The game's fps still drops severely during large encounters and/or in huge rooms with many particle effects (ice is a particularly big offender).

 

Is there some text file I can edit, or some other way I can make the game even less demanding graphically?

I really love the game but I can't afford a better rig to run it.  :(

You could try SweetFX 1.4 for Warframe. But i wouldnt suggest fiddling with the game settings. The game is in beta and instable enough.

Try running at 320x180.

You should try adjusting your gpu's settings directly within the control panel for further improvement.

Is SweetFX allowed ? Seems that Warframe has a pretty sensitive anti-cheat system, and i'd hate waiting for God knows how long for an answer from support in case i get banned for this.
