I Cant Host Anymore?

Ever since i got home today whenever i try to host a mission the game does host migration and makes a random squad mate the host. this is a problem as it usually picks the worst possible person to host and i almost always get disconnected (from a session I started!) and booted back to the nav menu. has anyone else ever had this happen to them/anyone got a fix?

Warframe has a host election system. (who knew, right?)

 

It's a bit wonky.

 

There is a setting you can toggle between auto, desktop and laptop.

That's about it.

 

The election system seems to take into account your systems CPU speed and network ping to other clients in the squad.

 

I have no idea if it has more criteria to choose between players. (none of that data has been made available by DE)

 

I'm fairly certain that it DOES NOT take into account the maximum upload bandwidth of players. (it really should)

 

If you're being disallowed as host, the system thinks your 'network performance or system performance isn't as good as another player in the squad. This may be because of your system, router, ISP or other factor.
