How Do Gene Masking And Breeding Kubrows Work

Hybrid of what? Of the races? If so, then no.

 

"Breeding" just entails incubating a Kubrow egg, which you can do with no imprints (randomized results), or with either 1 or 2 imprints (where the Kubrow will inherit random traits present on those imprints).

 

Gene Masking is just a fancy term for "customizing your Kubrow". You can change your Kubrow's fur's colors and patterns. Changes made by Gene Masking cannot be imprinted, meaning other Kubrows can't inherit them. Imprints will only come out with your Kubrow's natural pattern and colors.

Equip your Kubrow in your Companion slot in the Arsenal, that will allow you to edit it's appearance. Check for the colors you want. If you can't find the colors you want, check the Market to see if it's among the ones for sale.

so u have to buy colors because i did that and i didnt have any colors.

so the gene-masking is like the warframes when you pick ur colors

Gene Masking kits and Warframe color packs are seperate. Gene masking kits allow you to change the fur colors of your Kubrow, and even the pattern. But, if the colors on your Kubrow were changed, and you breed a Kubrow using imprints, then the natural colors will be used and not the masked colors.
