Mission Failed on extract screen?

Was doing T1 D with some people, and we got to round 20, finished it, and we were about to extract, the thing is that halfway through the count we got Mission failed, no items, nothing.

From what people told me on region chat, if the key host doesn't extract, everyone else fails the mission? is this true, or was this a bug?

Probably the keyowner crashed/ALT+F4-ed/ somehow left for whatever reason.

So, they can actually screw you out of rewards if they feel like acting like spoiled brats?... wow

Yes, they can. I got a ragequiter once...but still-it was only once, so don't mind it that much. It's not something that happens constantly.

Yes it must've been the host which cut out of the squad, either knowingly or unknowingly. Once the host with the key leaves, the mission fails instantly. 

This is a problem which has occurred pretty often but can only be solved if DE changes it's policies on this, but as of yet the has no.indication been on this

You need to stay with the key holder.

His question was sort of what happened to me except I was the key host . We were doing t2 survival and two of us were at the extract . We extracted by count down and I got an error message saying failed to save . So , I ended up losing the key I used , and all the prime parts and extra keys and mods I got but kept the credits and materials smh.
