Orokin monn puzzles nerfed ?

I could have sworn on launch the puzzle rooms spawned 2-3 times per map, now I'm having difficulty seeing even one. Did they change that some time ago ?

I'm pretty sure they did. I haven't been able to find anything in the patch notes but I'm certain they changed the moon spy missions. In the third room with the simon says puzzle you used to be able to shoot the button multiple times to get a different pattern but now you must fail in order to start over. I've noticed other changes as well such as with the speed test.

that was a glitch that made it way too easy XD.

Ah okay it seemed intended to me at first. It did make it easy. Same as switch teleporting under the door in the first vault I guess.
