0 Calwon5
Both are fun and great weapons to use. Both are also slash damage based. So your choice.

They are completely different Oddly, not as much as you'd think, though. Ether Daggers are great high speed multi-target hit chance slash weapon with low crit. The Galatine are a slower yet 'fast' (for a Heavy Weapon) heavy damage slash weapon with slightly higher crit and higher status chance. They're both high output slash weapons; one just does it due to the ability for many fast strikes, while the other focuses on AoE and momentum driven one-shots. Their biggest differences come when you apply stances to them, which both drastically increase those two factors. If it comes down to player preference and playstyle enjoyment, keep that in mind. Ether Daggers have a speed and damage rate that CAN be outclassed by other fast-damage weapons but those are mostly whips/blade whips or Prime dual daggers that do different TYPES of damage, while the Galatine has few equally fast high damage output competitors that aren't Prime weapons (or Dragon). 0 DjaAkh
The enormous range difference in combination with the Zelda-style stance for Galatine would make all the difference to me. But as pretty much everyone else pointed out: That's open to personal taste :)
