Game freezes

Hello! I have a recent issue with the game. Sometimes (1 or 2 times a day, maybe 3) it completely freezes, no matter what mission I am doing. Since the patch when the moon missions arrived, when doing those missions sometimes the game is very laggy. Happens just on moon missions. 

Here are my pc specs:

Cpu: Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.6GHz

Gpu: Ati Radeon HD 4650 512 MB, 64 bits buss width

Ram: 2 GB

Motherboard: ASUSTek P5QPL-AM.

It is old I know. I cant afford a new one atm. But if you know any way that I can improve it that would be great.

EDIT: I'm playing at minimum graphics with 800x600 and I have 60 FPS. But it still freezes.
